Christ is our ultimate example in serving. He—the Son of God and Savior of the world—made it clear that He came "not to be served, but to serve" (Matthew 20:28). To be called to Christ is to be called to service, and we have the holy privilege every Sunday of fulfilling this calling in our congregations, and of engaging our unique gifts for the building up of His body (Ephesians 4:11-12).
